Called The Expert
You might
remember the hard lesson of a multinational company that hire a service of an
expert to troubleshoot their network failure and the service Engineer has to
come from another country. So he was contacted and called upon to possibly
rectify the problem, on his arrival he check the equipments and facility,
afterward he marked a sport in the network tower and goes to his hotel room.
The
following morning he only call on the company engineer to replace the spot he
marked with his ink with a spare part box and off he travel to his country of
resident. Do i have to tell you the network failure problem was resolved and
working properly.... well it was. So the hiring company call the service
engineer to confirm his bill which the multinational company dim outrageous
that he only mark a spot and the box replace by the in-house company staff and
not even the so called expert himself.
The hired
expert reply was in this wise: that true he only marked a spot and the cost of
the marking pen his nothing but that for him to know the exact problem and
right spot to fix is a different ball game. Did the company paid the total
bill...if you may want to know, unless you want the multinational company to
face the embarrassment of the news media and the regulatory agency.
